CHAPTERS + COUNCILS + COMMUNITIES = NETWORKING GROUPS

What’s Included

By organizing a group of individuals to complete an IFMA program, the networking group functions as an IFMA training affiliate for that course. As such, the networking group will be listed on the IFMA Local Training Provider List.

It is the responsibility of the networking group to market the class and generate interest among potential participants. We recommend surveying members — using digital surveys and informal feedback at networking group events — to assess demand for IFMA credentials and training.

Once the program has been selected and the instructional delivery model confirmed, the networking group should proceed with:

  • Securing an instructor (if applicable) and establishing a start date.
  • Support enrollment by publishing the class details on its website and event calendar.
  • Once posted, provide IFMA with the link so the course can be included in the online course catalog.

Much of this information is included in the formal agreement and SOPs, but in general:

  • Networking groups are responsible for coordinating registration logistics, including collecting participant information, confirming eligibility requirements and communicating key deadlines to registrants.
  • All training activities must comply with IFMA brand, content, and intellectual property guidelines, as outlined in the networking group agreement and applicable SOP.
  • Networking groups should designate a primary program coordinator to serve as the liaison with IFMA staff throughout planning and delivery.
  • IFMA will provide onboarding guidance and administrative support to assist networking groups in preparing for program launch.
  • Participant records, completion status, and credential applications are maintained in IFMA’s official systems of record.

Participant License Inclusions
